Release history
Added
- Open several independent workspace windows, each with its own file panels, layout and settings, and pick up where you left off next time you start Commander.
- Override JVM options for a particular machine in a
vmoptions.txt file that Commander creates for you, with guidance, on first run. - Start, stop and resume many Docker containers at once from the Docker panel: commands act on your whole selection, skip containers they do not apply to, and report any failures together at the end.
Improved
- File panels stay responsive in large directories, with less work done on every repaint and no rebuilding of the function-key bar as you move through a listing.
- Column headers refresh when a listing's underlying data changes, instead of occasionally showing stale ones.
- Changing the theme now updates every open workspace, not just the one in front.
- Quick search no longer clashes with modifier shortcuts, and split dividers restore correctly in windows that were hidden when you closed them.
- On Windows, Commander now defaults to software rendering, avoiding display glitches on some graphics setups.
Safety
- Plugins that need credentials keep them in your operating system's keyring, and each plugin is confined to its own namespace, so one plugin cannot read another's secrets.
