S3 and GitHub file panels

Browse cloud storage and GitHub repositories beside local files, with remote-aware previews and editors.

Added

  • Browse Amazon S3 and S3-compatible storage as a normal file panel, including Cloudflare R2, MinIO, Wasabi, Backblaze B2 and DigitalOcean Spaces.
  • Browse GitHub repositories and source files directly from Commander.
  • Remember S3 secrets in an optional AES-GCM encrypted local store, or keep them in memory for the current session only.
  • Transfer multiple S3 objects in parallel when copying or moving files.

Improved

  • Quick viewers and full-screen editors now work with remote and stream-backed files, including archives, PDFs, JVM classes, 3D models, text and hex data.
  • The function-key bar uses calmer theme colours so it no longer competes visually with the file panels.
